What Is Full Spectrum Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy — also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) — uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared (NIR) light to support your body at the cellular level. When therapeutic light penetrates skin and tissue, it stimulates the mitochondria — your cells’ energy-producing centers — to increase ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production.
More cellular energy means faster repair, reduced inflammation, better circulation, and a body that recovers and functions the way it was designed to.
Unlike UV light from the sun or tanning beds, red and near-infrared light contains no ionizing radiation. It does not damage DNA or skin cells. What it does is signal your body to do what it already knows how to do — only more efficiently.
